Dear All,

I would be grateful if you could forward this fully-funded PhD Studentship opportunity at Coventry University, UK, to any strong students who have completed their MSc, or are about to do so.

The project aims to generate new understanding of transport dynamics, processes and relationships within the field of:

"Urban river sediment dynamics and pollution impacts". Please click on the link below for more information:

Fine sediment pollution dynamics in heavily urbanised river channels



The project builds on our previous work in this area.

Applicants whose first language is not English, must have a score for IELTS of at least 7.0, with a minimum of 6.5 on any component (e.g. if they are from non-English speaking countries outside Europe).

The CV should include all university academic qualifications, including:



1. Undergraduate Degree result and transcript (BSc or BA)

2. Masters degree result and transcript (Taught or Research Masters)

3. Full IELTS scores (or TOEFL scores)

4. Letter of Application and Motivation (500 words maximum)

5. Names and email addresses of three Academic referees.

6. Applicant's full contact details, including email addresses for July - August 2015 period



The project is available to start from 22 September 2015, but later starts may be negotiable.

The student will be located within the Water Team of the new Centre for Agroecology, Water and Resilience (CAWR) at Coventry University. CAWR now has over 34 academic staff, and is seeking highly motivated and talented students to take up fully-funded PhD studentships here.
